DNC Chair Ken Martin Under Siege As His Own Party Demands He Walk The Plank

DNC Chairman Ken Martin is finding out the hard way that running the Democratic Party in 2026 is a lot like captaining the Titanic — except the iceberg is your own crew, and they're all fighting over who gets to drill the next hole. After a 200-page election autopsy report turned into a full-blown mutiny, multiple Democrat members of Congress are now openly demanding Martin resign.

You love to see it, folks. The party that spends every waking hour lecturing us about "unity" and "democracy" can't even hold a post-mortem meeting without it turning into a murder scene.

The autopsy report, prepared by Democratic strategist Paul Rivera, was reportedly shelved for months before finally seeing the light of day. When it did, the results were about as pretty as you'd expect from a party that ran Joe Biden and then Kamala Harris against Donald Trump and thought that was a winning strategy. The document laid bare failures in voter engagement, a fractured message on border security, and a complete inability to navigate the Gaza-Israel conflict without alienating half their own base.

Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachusetts was among the first to publicly call for Martin's head. Rep. Mark Pocan of Wisconsin piled on, saying, "I agree. Having what we have right now is not doing it." Rep. Marc Veasey of Texas added that the party had no clear plan to fix the mess. Three sitting congressmen, from three different states, all saying the same thing: this guy has to go.

That's not a disagreement. That's a vote of no confidence.

Meanwhile, the DNC's wallet is looking about as healthy as their electoral prospects. As of March 31, 2026, the DNC reported just $13.8 million available — trailing the RNC by a country mile heading into the 2026 midterms. You'd think a party that claims to represent "the people" could scrape together more than what a mid-tier influencer makes in a year, but here we are.

Former Obama adviser Dan Pfeiffer and Danielle Butterfield of Priorities USA have both weighed in on the party's direction, but the moderates and the radicals can't agree on whether to steer left or lurch further left. It's the same circular firing squad we've watched for years, except now the ammunition is a 200-page document telling them exactly why they lost — and they still can't agree on what it says.

The Democrat election autopsy was supposed to be a roadmap back to relevance. Instead, it became a live autopsy of Ken Martin's career, performed without anesthesia in front of the entire country. According to LifeZette, the infighting shows no signs of slowing down as the midterms approach.

Keep going, Democrats. We'll bring the popcorn.
